Frequently Asked Questions

Is apush.app really free?â–¾
Yes, 100% free. No sign-up required, no premium tier, no ads. Just practice questions.
How does the AP score estimate work?â–¾
We track your accuracy across all four time periods, weighted by how much each period appears on the real AP exam. As you answer more questions at higher difficulty levels, your estimated score will become more accurate.
How does adaptive difficulty work?â–¾
Questions start at difficulty level 1. Get 3 in a row correct and you'll move up a level. Get one wrong and you'll move down. This keeps you in your learning sweet spot — challenged but not overwhelmed.
Do I need to create an account?â–¾
Nope! You can start practicing immediately. Your progress is saved automatically. If you want to access your progress on another device, you can optionally sign in with Google.
How many questions are there?â–¾
We have thousands of practice questions covering all nine AP US History time periods, with more being added regularly.
Can I flag a question that seems wrong?â–¾
Yes! If you spot an error, click the 'Flag this question' link after answering. We review every flag.
